Don’t miss the Women Weavers of Hope Award ceremony. Join online

Caritas Internationalis is pleased to announce the award ceremony of the “Women Weavers of Hope,” which will emphasise the vital contribution of women to building hope, care, and solidarity within their communities.

The event will take place on Human Rights Day, Wednesday 10 December 2025, at 10:30, at the Aula of the Jesuit Curia, Borgo Santo Spirito 4, in Rome.

The programme also includes the presentation of the six projects awarded that support women’s empowerment.

The morning will begin with opening remarks, followed by brief talks, testimonies, and the announcement of the award recipients.

The event will see the participation of representatives of the awarded projects and also of many speakers including Prof. Emilce Cuda, Secretary of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America; Rev. Sr. Nathalie Becquart; Jeanette Rincón of Caritas Venezuela; Engy Zaher of Caritas Egypt; and Fr David McCallum, SJ.

Launched as part of the 2025 Pilgrims of Hope Jubilee, the Award provides financial support to winning organisations selected from more than 120 applications to further develop and scale their initiatives.
